My Teaching Studio

Lory Peters Ph.D.While the choice of piano teachers is essential to your success in piano studies, the place where you take lessons is also very important. Your lesson setting should be comfortable, spacious, and free from outside distractions. A well-designed piano studio will maximize the benefits from the investment you are making in piano lessons.

Comfort and Convenience

My piano teaching studio is located on Greenway-Hayden Loop in the Scottsdale Airpark. With 800 square feet of studio space, students enjoy a quiet, professional music environment with plenty of natural sunlight. A separate waiting room and restroom allow students to relax comfortably before their lessons and parents a quiet break while waiting for the children. But for busy parents who would like to run errands, shopping on Scottsdale Road, including Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter is just a minute from the studio. And picking up students is very convenient, with parking literally feet from the front door.

Professional-Grade Pianos

Students take their piano lessons on a new Kawai studio grand as well as on a Yamaha professional-level digital keyboard. In the waiting room, for warm-up and practice, there is another Yamaha digital keyboard.

A digital keyboard in the studio adds an exciting dimension to piano lessons. In addition to traditional lessons on an acoustic piano, students now have the opportunity to expand their vistas with multitrack music creation. Using the digital keyboard and Logic Studio software, students can combine piano with other instruments to create larger musical performances. And with full recording services in the studio, students can take their performances home on small key-chain drives to playback later on their home audio or computer systems.
